Scottie Barnes
Scottie Barnes matches season-high 35 points
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 12:13 PM
Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 35 points (15-of-23 FGs), 11 rebounds, eight assists and two three-pointers in a 125-118 win over the Spurs on Sunday.
Analysis: In what has been a disappointing season for both Barnes and the Raptors, he was able to close the season out on a high note. He finishes his fourth season in the NBA with averages of 19.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.4 steals, one block and 1.2 threes per game. Toronto should be more competitive next season with Brandon Ingram and a lottery pick entering the rotation. That should help Barnes bounce back from a disappointing campaign where he shot a career-worst 44.6 percent from the floor.
Garrett Temple
Garrett Temple (knee) will not return vs. Spurs
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 10:35 AM
Kayla Grey
Garrett Temple (knee) will not return to Sunday's game against the Spurs.
Analysis: Temple played just two minutes before suffering a knee sprain that will keep him sidelined for the rest of the season finale. Toronto will only have seven available players to close out this game. AJ Lawson should see a boost in minutes with Temple unavailable. Temple ends his age-38 season as merely a veteran presence reserve and has started just twice in three seasons. He'll be a free agent this offseason and could struggle to continue his career.
Chris Boucher
Chris Boucher (illness) ruled out vs. San Antonio
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 8:15 AM
Blake Murphy
Chris Boucher (illness) has been ruled out against the Spurs on Sunday.
Analysis: Boucher last played on February 26, and he'll end the season with averages of 10 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.4 triples in 17.2 minutes per game. He'll be an unrestricted free agent this summer and could end up leaving Toronto despite being with the team since 2018.
Chris Boucher
Chris Boucher (illness) questionable vs. Spurs
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 6:36 AM
Chris Boucher (illness) is questionable to play against the Spurs on Sunday.
Analysis: Boucher is a late addition to the injury report, though his status for this game won't impact Toronto's rotation. Even when healthy, he hasn't appeared in a game since February, even with the Raptors tanking in recent weeks.
Jared Rhoden
Jared Rhoden (shoulder) out Sunday vs. San Antonio
Sat, Apr 12, 2025, 5:06 PM
NBA Injury Report
Jared Rhoden (shoulder) is out for Sunday's game against the Spurs.
Analysis: Rhoden will remain out for Sunday's season finale, the second straight game he's missed with a shoulder injury. On a two-way contract, Rhoden only appeared in 16 games this season. Since he isn't guaranteed a standard contract for next season, he should not be on draft boards next fall.
RJ Barrett
RJ Barrett, Ja'Kobe Walter out Sunday vs. SAS
Sat, Apr 12, 2025, 5:01 PM
NBA Injury Report
RJ Barrett (rest) and Ja'Kobe Walter (hip) are out for Sunday's game against the Spurs.
Analysis: Barrett will sit out Sunday's season finale for rest reasons, while Walter's absence is due to a tight right hip flexor. Ochai Agbaji and Jamison Battle started Friday's loss in Dallas and should retain those roles in San Antonio. Barrett has long been a better option in points leagues than category leagues, but he did make some strides in the former this season, providing 12th-round value in eight-cat formats. However, the addition of Brandon Ingram at the trade deadline does not bode well for Barrett's fantasy prospects in 2025-26. The same can be said for Walter, as injuries limited the first-round pick to 52 appearances as a rookie. While Barrett can be selected with a late-round pick in standard drafts, Walter should be left alone in redraft leagues.
Immanuel Quickley
Immanuel Quickley, Jakob Poeltl ruled out Sunday
Sat, Apr 12, 2025, 4:56 PM
NBA Injury Report
Immanuel Quickley (rest) and Jakob Poeltl (hand) are out against the Spurs on Sunday.
Analysis: Quickley and Poeltl will end their seasons in street clothes, as both will sit out Sunday's finale in San Antonio. While he finishes the season as a ninth-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats, injuries limited Quickley to 33 appearances this season. With the addition of Brandon Ingram at the trade deadline, Quickley's scoring opportunities may decrease next season. As for Poeltl, the veteran center was a top-50 player in nine-cat formats and ranked just outside that threshold in eight-cat. While his scoring may take a hit next season, Poeltl does enough as a rebounder and defender to preserve most of his fantasy value. Jamal Shead and Jonathan Mogbo should remain in the starting lineup for Sunday's game.
Scottie Barnes
Scottie Barnes finishes with 26/9/3/1/1 line
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 5:23 PM
Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 26 points (12-of-25 FGs, 2-of-8 FTs), nine rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in a 124-102 loss to the Mavericks on Friday.
Analysis: It has been a rough stretch offensively for Barnes. but after getting two games off to nurse his right hand injury, he was able to have some success on Friday. He had his highest-scoring performance since March 20 despite his abysmal night from the free throw line. It's unclear if Barnes will be available for Toronto's season finale in San Antonio on Sunday since they are locked in to the seventh-best lottery odds. If this was Barnes' final game of the season, he was able to end a rough year on a high note.
Ochai Agbaji
Ochai Agbaji scores 24 points with six triples
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 5:16 PM
Ochai Agbaji lit up the Mavericks with 24 points (9-of-12 FGs), six rebounds, three assists and six three-pointers on Friday.
Analysis: Agbaji got off to a scorching hot start to Friday's game and scored 17 points in the first quarter alone while shooting a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor, which included five three-pointers. Unfortunately, he didn't do much over the final three quarters to add to his spectacular start. This tied his season-high for both points and three-pointers, both of which were set in a late-November win over the Pelicans. Agbaji has been in and out of the lineup recently, so his status for Sunday's finale in San Antonio is unclear.
A.J. Lawson
AJ Lawson records 12/10 double-double vs. Dallas
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 5:06 PM
AJ Lawson provided a boost off the bench with 12 points (3-of-10 FGs), 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one three-pointer against the Mavericks on Friday.
Analysis: Lawson, who signed a contract with the Raptors earlier in the day on Friday that will keep him with Toronto through the end of the 2025-26 season, played well in his first game since signing the new deal. He recorded his second career double-double, with the first coming a little over a month before this one. Lawson should once again play a significant role in the season finale in San Antonio on Sunday, but he isn't a player that will carry much value over to next season.
Jared Rhoden
Jared Rhoden (shoulder) ruled out vs. Dallas
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 1:14 PM
Blake Murphy
Jared Rhoden (shoulder) has been ruled out against the Mavericks on Friday.
Analysis: Rhoden scored 23 points off the bench on Wednesday but won't be available to build on that performance against Dallas. With RJ Barrett and Ja'Kobe Walter also sidelined, Jamison Battle and AJ Lawson should be in line for extended minutes.
A.J. Lawson
Shams: Raptors signing AJ Lawson to two-year deal
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 6:10 AM
Shams Charania on Twitter
Raptors converted AJ Lawson's two-way contract to a standard, two-year deal.
Analysis: Lawson has been a key part of the Raptors' rotation as of late. While it isn't likely that he'll be an impact player when the team is healthy, he's scored at least 13 points in four of his previous five outings.
Ochai Agbaji
Ochai Agbaji, Jamal Shead not on injury report
Thu, Apr 10, 2025, 12:33 PM
NBA Injury Report
Ochai Agbaji (rest) and Jamal Shead (rest) are off the injury report for Friday's game against the Mavericks.
Analysis: Agbaji and Shead were held out of Wednesday's win over the Hornets for reasons of rest. With Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett among the players who will not play in Dallas, minutes will not be an issue for Agbaji or Shead. They're both worth slotting into lineups in active fantasy leagues.
RJ Barrett
RJ Barrett, Ja'Kobe Walter out Friday vs. Dallas
Thu, Apr 10, 2025, 12:21 PM
Esfandiar Baraheni
RJ Barrett (rest) and Ja'Kobe Walter (hip) are out against the Mavericks on Friday.
Analysis: Barrett and Walter will not be available on Friday. The latter will miss a second-straight game due to a hip injury. AJ Lawson and Jamison Battle will play more minutes, which would also be the case for Jared Rhoden (shoulder) if he's allowed to suit up. Rhoden is questionable for Friday night.
Immanuel Quickley
Immanuel Quickley, Jakob Poeltl out Friday vs. DAL
Thu, Apr 10, 2025, 12:15 PM
Esfandiar Baraheni
Immanuel Quickley (rest) and Jakob Poeltl (rest) are out for Friday's game against the Mavericks.
Analysis: The Raptors are playing out the string, so some of their regulars will not be available for Friday's game. That includes Quickley and Poeltl, whose absences free up additional minutes for Jamal Shead, Jonathan Mogbo and Colin Castleton. Fantasy managers in active leagues should target Shead and Mogbo in this spot.
Jared Rhoden
Jared Rhoden (shoulder) questionable for Friday
Thu, Apr 10, 2025, 12:13 PM
Esfandiar Baraheni
Jared Rhoden (shoulder) is questionable for Friday's game against the Mavericks.
Analysis: Rhoden's had a few moments in which he's been productive, most recently scoring 23 points in Wednesday's win over the Hornets. With the Raptors sitting multiple rotation players, Rhoden may play extended minutes on Friday if he's cleared. While a risky dice roll, he would be worth it in active fantasy leagues.
Jared Rhoden
Jared Rhoden has 23 points off the bench vs. CHA
Wed, Apr 9, 2025, 3:50 PM
Jared Rhoden had 23 points (8-of-12 FGs), seven rebounds, four assists and three three-pointers against the Hornets on Wednesday.
Analysis: Rhoden came off the bench Wednesday, but in the last week of the regular season it's not abnormal to see bench players receive starter-level minutes. The 25-year-old shooting guard had 23 points in 30 minutes as RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickly combined to play fewer minutes. It's likely Rhoden will continue to play a lot in the Raptors' remaining games.
Scottie Barnes
Scottie Barnes has 17/11/5 line in win vs. Hornets
Wed, Apr 9, 2025, 3:47 PM
Scottie Barnes had 17 points (7-of-15 FGs), 11 rebounds, five assists, one block and three three-pointers in the Raptors' 126-96 victory over the Hornets on Wednesday.
Analysis: Barnes returned from a MCP joint contusion that kept him out for the last two games. While the 23-year-old small forward started, he only played 20 minutes in the Raptors' 30-point win over the Hornets. It's unclear if the final score factored into Barnes' minutes as other Raptors starters played even fewer minutes. Barnes still had a good game with 17 points and 11 rebounds, but he might be difficult to trust for big minutes for fantasy managers still in active leagues.
Immanuel Quickley
TOR starting IQ, Barrett, Barnes, Mogbo, Robinson
Wed, Apr 9, 2025, 12:53 PM
Coty Wiles
Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, Scottie Barnes, Jonathan Mogbo and Orlando Robinson will start Wednesday's game against the Hornets.
Analysis: Barrett and Mogbo are the holdovers from the quintet that started Sunday's win over the Nets. Quickley, Barnes and Robinson join them, replacing Jamal Shead, Ochai Agbaji and Jakob Poeltl. Agbaji, Poeltl and Shead are all unavailable for Wednesday's game.
Brandon Ingram
Brandon Ingram (ankle) will not play this season
Wed, Apr 9, 2025, 12:17 PM
Blake Murphy
Brandon Ingram (ankle) is out for the rest of the season.
Analysis: Given the time missed and the Raptors' heading to the draft lottery, Ingram's omission is unsurprising. He received a PRP injection in his foot on Tuesday, and the expectation is that he will be available for Toronto's summer program. The former Pelicans wing did not appear in a game for the Raptors after being acquired at the trade deadline. While capable of offering top-75 fantasy value, Ingram's injury woes make him challenging to trust in most fantasy leagues.
