Scottie Barnes
Scottie Barnes tweaks ankle, scores 13 points
Fri, Feb 21, 2025, 5:53 PM
Scottie Barnes (ankle) finished with 13 points (4-of-12 FGs), six rebounds, three assists, one block and one three-pointer against the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: Barnes briefly exited Friday's game after injuring his right ankle, but he was able to return to finish the game. He ended up playing 38 minutes, so the injury didn't limit his time on the floor by much. However, he simply wasn't very productive in this game. Barnes' production has taken a hit this season, but he has still been a top-tier option in category formats. He'll look to get back on track against the Suns on Sunday to finish the week. Managers shouldn't be too concerned about his ankle, but it's worth keeping an eye on the injury report on Saturday.
Immanuel Quickley
Immanuel Quickley scores 23 points with five treys
Fri, Feb 21, 2025, 5:45 PM
Immanuel Quickley lit up the Heat with 23 points (8-of-21 FGs), seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and five three-pointers.
Analysis: After missing a few weeks with a hip injury, Toronto reintroduced Quickley to the rotation slowly. He was on a strict minutes restriction, which limited his production. However, the last handful of games have been more productive, which can partially be attributed to an increase in minutes. Quickley has scored at least 20 points in three of Toronto's last four games, which is exciting for fantasy managers that have had him in an IL spot for most of the season. The Raptors finish the week against the Suns on Sunday.
RJ Barrett
RJ Barrett scores game-high 29 points in loss
Fri, Feb 21, 2025, 4:37 PM
Josh Lewenberg
RJ Barrett led the Raptors with 29 points (11-of-17 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, two steals and four three-pointers in a 120-111 loss to the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: Toronto wasn't able to get the win, but Barrett still made history in this game. He became the seventh Canadian to score 7,000 points in the NBA, and he reached that mark in a matchup with Andrew Wiggins, who is currently in second place behind Steve Nash as the all-time leading Canadian scorer. A few of Barrett's buckets come in the clutch and helped give the Raptors a three-point lead with less than a minute left in the game. They ran out of gas in overtime, but Barrett was still able to have an excellent performance.
Orlando Robinson
Orlando Robinson to start Friday vs. Heat
Fri, Feb 21, 2025, 1:08 PM
NBA Lineups
Immanuel Quickley, Gradey Dick, RJ Barrett, Scottie Barnes, and Orlando Robinson will start Friday's game against the Heat.
Analysis: While the Raptors have gone small with Jakob Poeltl (hip_ sidelined, starting rookie Jonathan Mogbo at the center position, that will not be the case on Friday. Robinson will start against the team he began his NBA career with, matching up with Bam Adebayo. Mogbo will remain in the rotation, but the move to the bench lowers his fantasy ceiling.
Jakob Poeltl
Jakob Poeltl (hip) downgraded to out Friday
Thu, Feb 20, 2025, 10:19 AM
Blake Murphy
Jakob Poeltl (hip) is out for Thursday's game against the Heat.
Analysis: Not long after being listed as questionable for Friday's game, Poeltl was downgraded to out. A fifth-straight game on the sidelines with a right hip pointer means rookie Jonathan Mogbo will remain in the starting lineup. Mogbo is worth rostering for potential “silly season” value, especially with the Raptors trending in the wrong direction regarding the last play-in spots in the East.
Jakob Poeltl
Jakob Poeltl (hip) questionable Friday vs. Heat
Thu, Feb 20, 2025, 9:56 AM
Jakob Poeltl (hip) is questionable for Friday's game against the Heat.
Analysis: Poeltl has missed the last four games with a right hip pointer, though his questionable status at least gives him a chance to return Friday. Jonathan Mogbo would continue to start and would be worth streaming in Poeltl's absence if he were to miss another game.
Jared Rhoden
Raptors sign Jared Rhoden to 10-day contract
Wed, Feb 19, 2025, 10:13 AM
Toronto Raptors
Raptors signed Jared Rhoden to a 10-day contract.
Analysis: Rhoden participated in the Raptors' training camp but was waived before the start of the season. While he did appear in four games for the Hornets, the former Seton Hall standout eventually made his way to Raptors 905, where he's played well enough to earn an opportunity with the Raptors. Rhoden's signing is unlikely to impact fantasy basketball.
Gradey Dick
Gradey Dick has 12 points, 2 threes in first round
Fri, Feb 14, 2025, 4:02 PM
Gradey Dick had 12 points (5-of-7 FGs), one assist and two 3-pointers in the first round of the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday.
Analysis: Dick led Team T in points with 12 in the first round loss to Team C in the first round of the Rising Stars Challenge. The 21-year-old shooting guard asserted himself with his outside shooting early in the game and put forth his typical effort on the defensive end. Dick will continue to start for the Raptors until Brandon Ingram returns to the court. Even while he's in the lineup, Dick hasn't been consistent enough with his shooting to provide a lot of fantasy value given his deficiencies in the other categories.
Ochai Agbaji
Ochai Agbaji contributes 15 points off the bench
Wed, Feb 12, 2025, 4:25 PM
Ochai Agbaji logged 25 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Cavaliers, finishing with 15 points (5-of-11 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, one block, and two 3-pointers.
Scottie Barnes
Scottie Barnes records 16/11/7/0/3 line vs. Cavs
Wed, Feb 12, 2025, 4:25 PM
Scottie Barnes tallied 16 points (7-of-15 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), 11 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocked shots in 33 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Barnes didn't have an exemplary scoring night, but category league managers will benefit from the rebounds, steals, and blocks. Over the past month, Barnes has provided third-round value in eight-cat formats, aligning with his season-long production. During Brandon Ingram's introductory press conference, the Raptors stated that they're focused on getting him healthy for the 2025-26 season, so there may not be many opportunities to see him on the court with Barnes.
RJ Barrett
RJ Barrett scores game-high 27 in blowout loss
Wed, Feb 12, 2025, 4:24 PM
RJ Barrett accumulated 27 points (11-of-18 FGs, 3-of-7 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Back in the lineup after missing five games in the league's concussion protocol, Barrett looked sharp in Wednesday's defeat. He shot over 50 percent from the field and finished one blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Barrett's return pushed Ochai Agbaji to the bench, and he finished with 15 points, three rebounds, one blocked shot, and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes. Agbaji is a player who will have added value after the All-Star break if the Raptors focus more on player development and improving their draft lottery odds.
Brandon Ingram
Brandon Ingram (ankle) has no timetable to return
Wed, Feb 12, 2025, 11:30 AM
Blake Murphy
Brandon Ingram (ankle) is without a timetable to return.
Analysis: Ingram spoke with reporters for the first time since agreeing to a three-year contract extension with the Raptors. The 27-year-old small forward said he has no timetable to return to the court at the moment. Ingram seemed upbeat about his health situation, though he noted it will take time to get his conditioning together. Head coach Darko Rajakovic noted that they plan to re-evaluate Ingram in two-week intervals to keep an eye on his progression. However, Rajakovic acknowledged that they are “not even sure” if he will play this season. If he does return to action, Gradey Dick and Ochai Agbaji's fantasy value will take a hit.
Jakob Poeltl
Jakob Poeltl (hip) ruled out Wednesday vs. Cavs
Wed, Feb 12, 2025, 10:20 AM
NBA Injury Report
Jakob Poeltl (hip) is out for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Wednesday's game will be the fourth straight Poeltl misses with a right hip pointer. Rookie Jonathan Mogbo has been the replacement in the starting lineup, providing 11th-round value in nine-cat formats over the past week. Rostered in five percent of Yahoo! leagues, Mogbo is worth streaming, especially for managers who can afford to stash him for the “silly season.”
RJ Barrett
RJ Barrett (conditioning) available vs. Cavaliers
Wed, Feb 12, 2025, 8:19 AM
NBA Injury Report
RJ Barrett (conditioning) is available for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Barrett is fit enough to return from a five-game layoff after suffering a concussion. Ochai Agbaji will likely be forced back to the bench as a result, which will eliminate the streaming value that he held.
Immanuel Quickley
Immanuel Quickley scores 23 as Raps beat Sixers
Tue, Feb 11, 2025, 3:46 PM
Immanuel Quickley delivered 23 points, three rebounds, five assists and four triples across 34 minutes in Tuesday's win over the 76ers.
Analysis: Quickley scored at least 20 points for the second straight game, and he shot an impressive 7-of-11 from the field. He drilled 4-of-8 triples and hit all five of his free throws on a night where points came at a premium. Quickley sat out the second leg of last week's Tuesday-Wednesday back-to-back, and it's possible he does the same for Toronto's final game before the break. Fantasy managers will need to keep an eye on his status ahead of that one.
Scottie Barnes
Scottie Barnes double-doubles with 33/10 vs. PHI
Tue, Feb 11, 2025, 3:38 PM
Scottie Barnes posted a game-high 33 points in Tuesday's win over the 76ers, adding 10 rebounds, three assists, a steal, two blocks and a three-pointer across 37 minutes.
Analysis: Barnes came through with his fourth 30-point game of the season and finished just two points shy of his career-high. Toronto's point forward finished with his 15th double-double of the 2024-25 campaign, and he racked up a number of key stats on both ends of the court. Barnes is a certified stat-stuffer who can post lines like this on any given night. He'll look to finish strong before the All-Star break when the Raptors face the Cavaliers on Wednesday.
Brandon Ingram
Brandon Ingram agrees to three-year extension
Tue, Feb 11, 2025, 9:08 AM
Shams Charania
Brandon Ingram has agreed to a three-year extension, $120 million extension with the Raptors, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
Analysis: Ingram was traded to Toronto at the deadline, but he hasn't made his debut for them yet. He hasn't played since early December, and it's unclear how much longer he will remain sidelined. Perhaps the $120 million extension will help accelerate his ankle's recovery. He has a player option for the 2027-28 season, but Ingram is now tied to the Raptors for at least two more seasons. When he makes his return to the court, he should replace Gradey Dick in the starting lineup, which will result in fewer minutes for Ochai Agbaji.
Brandon Ingram
Brandon Ingram (ankle) ruled out Tuesday vs. PHI
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 10:33 AM
Esfandiar Baraheni
Brandon Ingram (ankle) is out for Tuesday's game against the 76ers.
Analysis: Ingram, who has not appeared in a game since injuring his ankle on December 7, is not healthy enough to make his Raptors debut. When that will change is unknown, and the Raptors won't be able to evaluate Ingram's fit with Scottie Barnes until that happens. For now, fantasy managers should continue to stash BI in an IL+ slot.
Gradey Dick
Gradey Dick (neck) probable Tuesday vs. 76ers
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 10:28 AM
Esfandiar Baraheni
Gradey Dick (neck) is probable for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia.
Analysis: Gradey injured his neck during the second quarter of Sunday's loss to the Rockets. He passed the necessary concussion tests and appears on track to play against Philadelphia. Gradey has not missed a start since New Year's Eve, and that's likely to continue until Brandon Ingram (ankle) is cleared to make his Raptors debut.
Jakob Poeltl
Jakob Poeltl (hip) to remain out Tuesday vs. PHI
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 10:19 AM
Esfandiar Baraheni
Jakob Poeltl (hip) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the 76ers.
Analysis: Poeltl will miss a third straight game, which will likely mean another start for Jonathan Mobgo. While the rookie doesn't offer significant value as a scorer, he's tallied 10 points in three straight games. Also, he blocked a career-high four shots in Sunday's loss to Houston. Mogbo stands to be more valuable after the All-Star break, as the Raptors could give him a bigger role to see what they have since they appear likely to be a lottery team
